Please bring your own ideas on the religion-inspired ideas and ideals that have lost force today - and any current replacements they may have. Suggestions are glory, sin, forgiveness, salvation, patience, sacrifice.

'Religion and Politics'

Venue: 6 Portland Street, York YO31 7EH. Portland Street is off Gillygate, just outside the city walls to the north west of the Minster. Anyone arriving in York by train could catch the number 1 bus just outside the station to Gillygate, the stop being slightly beyond the top of Portland Street. If anyone needs to come by car, a parking permit can be supplied, but space can't be guaranteed.

Nicholas Bielby
Nicholas is a SoF member, prize-winning poet and, in his professional life, an expert in the thorny topic of teaching reading. In this session he shares discussion with us on his forthcoming book on interpretations of the Bible.
